A free 10 week course for people with some computer skills Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am -12 noon at Netherthorpe Primary School.
The course will cover:
Creating and Maintaining a Community Website
Using the latest digital recording and computing equipment.
Recording and Editing Interviews
Creating Video Clips and Images for a Website
Gathering Local News and information to be put on the Website
Blogs, Podcasts, forum and other internew pages
This is a chance for you to gain valuable digital skills and contribute to information and opinion in your area.
*Assistance with childcare may be available to local residents

Are you fluent in English and a Community Language?
Do you want to develop your understanding and awareness of community interpreting?
Would you like to be a volunteer or become a representative in your community?
Learning Activities will include Case Studies, visits and presetations from visiting speakers. The course looks at what voluntary work in this area may involve and guidance will provided in finding a volunteer placement.
The course is free and is provided in partnership with the Workers' Education Association through the Active Citizenship Project funded by Academy for Community Leadership.

By completing the course you can gain up to 15 OCN credits.The course will help both you and your community by equipping you with knowledge and skills around health issues.
